Job Purpose and Function

The Dishwasher/Maintenance Associate ensures the successful flow of kitchen and store operations. The Associate ensures that all kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. They play a critical role in maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Additionally, they assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and store, ensuring that it is always ready for food preparation and service.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Maintain adequate levels of clean dishes, utensils, and kitchenware for kitchen operations
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring proper cleaning and sanitization of all dishes and kitchenware
  • Monitor dishwashing area to ensure that it is clean, organized, and free of any functional or mechanical problems. Report any issues to management immediately
  • Ensure that all trash containers are properly monitored and emptied when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the kitchen, including food preparation and production areas
  • Follow proper rules of hygiene and food-safety measures, including the use of gloves, hairnets, and other protective gear
  • Monitor and maintain sanitation buckets with proper ppm dilution to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of kitchenware
  • Maintain flexibility to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, including working during peak times and providing assistance to other kitchen staff as needed
  • Rotate and stock dishes, kitchenware, and product, and ensure that all items are properly cleaned and organized before storage
  • Assist in the cleaning of restrooms and other areas of the kitchen and store as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, personal protective gear, and food handling
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of dishwashing and maintenance operations, including identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with store management on solutions
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures, including dress code, punctuality, and customer service standards
What We’re Looking For

  • High School diploma or GED preferred, in lieu of High School diploma or GED, we offer a 100% employer paid GED completion program through GEDWorks
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other kitchen staff
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Ideal candidates will also have:
  • Prep or line cook experience
  • ServSafe Certification, or similar certification
