REPORTS TO: Health Coordinator
JOB FOCUS: The Disabilities Assistant supports the Health Coordinator by facilitating the provision of services to children and families enrolled in CDCSA programs. This position may help assist children with disabilities in a 1-on-1 setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes activities as identified in the Health Work Plans.
- Assists Health Coordinator in obtaining information from parents.
- Assists in the screening of enrolled children.
- Assists in monitoring, tracking, and documenting children's progress.
- Maintains/updates files with information relating to Health.
- Computer use includes tracking and word processing.
- Provides feedback to parents when appropriate.
- Participates in meetings or training as requested by supervisor.
- Any other program-related activity as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and speak both English and Spanish, preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate positively with children and families with varying cultural, education, and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Computer skills and working knowledge of relevant software.
- A valid Washington State Driver's License, automobile liability insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to complete and pass TB test, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Fulfillment of all specified Health and Safety requirements.
- Freedom from conviction of child abuse and neglect.
- Preference is given to former or current Head Start/Early Head Start/ECEAP parents.

COVID-19 Vaccine and Mask Requirement:
The CDCSA is a Licensed Childcare Center. According to the Washington state vaccine mandate, all licensed childcare staff members are required to be vaccinated by October 18th, 2021. If you have any questions about this requirement or would like to submit an exemption form please contact our HR Department. Masks are required to be worn at all times for this position.

Pay: $17.67 - $18.92 per hour
