POSITION SUMMARY
The Gypsum Management and Supply, Inc. Director, Talent Acquisition is a key member of the Human Resources team and reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer. This newly created role will be responsible for building, implementing, and managing the talent acquisition strategy and recruiting processes for the company, while leading a new team of regional recruiters. This individual will partner with HR and business leaders to identify and prioritize needs to ultimately formulate and execute a unified talent acquisition strategy across the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify how to showcase the organization’s compelling opportunities and deliver efficient talent solutions to the company, assuring a powerful pipeline of ready-now talent
- Design and develop talent acquisition strategies for the enterprise, including the development and execution of innovative and cost-effective recruiting plans and activities.
- Continue to build the Talent Acquisition team to ensure proper resourcing of the function.
- Create and maintain relationships with the business leaders and hiring managers in the organization.
- Work with HR leaders to identify and prioritize talent needs to implement effective solutions. Continue to assess business needs and competencies required to fill upcoming openings; work with HR and business leaders to ensure workforce planning is aligned with needs. Partner closely with HR and business leaders on effective usage and implementation of the various talent acquisition programs.
- Develop, improve, and champion the company's talent acquisition, selection and talent management processes, policies, and tools. Support their effective execution, compliance, and quality results.
- Create and maintain relationships with local colleges and universities to develop a strong candidate pipeline.
- Develop and champion the company’s inclusion & diversity strategy through all talent acquisition initiatives.
- Support recruiting efforts by ensuring the appropriate education, training and/or tools are provided in a timely and efficient manner. Organize, design, and deliver Talent Acquisition training to support the rollout and sustainment of initiatives and programs. Utilize relevant resources and partnerships as needed to execute this effectively.
- Understand market conditions for targeted talent pools and prepare distinct and effective recruiting approaches to attract the best talent. Facilitate the development of pipeline talent for hard to fill positions. Provide talent acquisition support to specific disciplines to assist with key staffing projects and challenges.
- Remain abreast of best-in-class recruitment practices and implement as appropriate. Look to challenge. traditional recruitment thinking & find opportunities to include candidates from non-traditional sources
- Develop Talent Acquisition scorecard and metrics to monitor and communicate progress.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, specifically talent acquisition in large complex organizations
- 3+ years of experience leading the development and implementation of nation-wide or global talent acquisition programs and processes
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering strategic talent acquisition solutions
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage business partners and gain support for solutions to talent challenges
- Ability to use metrics and data analysis to identify and resolve issues
- Knowledge of contemporary talent acquisition technologies and systems
- Proficiency in using Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
