We are looking for an imaginative Director to lead the charge at the Pelham Lifelong Learning Center (PLLC). As part of the PLLC team, you’ll oversee all administration, programming, and strategic planning. From fundraising and community outreach to marketing and planning for the future, you’ll be at the helm of an organization that’s making an exciting difference in the lives of many.

What you’ll do:

• Work with a Board of Directors and Property Management staff at Pelham Apartments to develop program, organizational, and financial plans and lead your team to carry them out.
• Conduct surveys and focus groups to identify emerging resident interests and align programming and partnerships to address them.
• Develop strong relationships with community groups and organizations.
• Complete grant applications and manage grants, ensuring program viability.
• Manage accounts payable for PLLC; manage vendor relationships; partner with maintenance on regularly scheduled inspections and certifications.

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years of experience working with nonprofit organization(s) serving one or more of the following populations: youth, families, seniors, immigrants, unemployed, people with substance use or mental health related issues, people with physical and learning disabilities
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
• You’re a consistent leader with a strong eye for what needs to be tackled next to move the needle forward towards big goals.
• You have a genuine interest in this field and would enjoy keeping track of developments and trends through participation in workshops and conferences.
• You have experience managing a staff of employees and volunteers alike and love encouraging the development and education of those who work for you.
• People consider you a compelling communicator, making you a great fit to publicize the programs and goals of PLLC in a widespread way.
• You are fluent in Spanish and English
