OUR PROPERTY

Bowie House, Auberge Resorts is an imaginative and bold new urban retreat that draws visitors to a place whose history is built on tales of frontier valor and adventure. An exciting gathering space for locals and visitors alike, the four-story, 106-room boutique hotel will feature 88 rooms and 18 suites, including a 2,250 square foot signature suite. Luxurious spaces weave together details from Western culture and style like boot jacks and hat racks with contemporary furnishings, lighting and artwork creating feelings of welcome and warmth.

A social hub for locals and visitors, Bowie House offers numerous spaces for visitors to enjoy the conviviality and camaraderie that have distinguished the location for so many years. ROLE SUMMARY
Join our team as Director of Wellness and become one of the authors of our story. The Director of Wellness reports directly to the Hotel Manager and is responsible for overseeing the quality and consistency of all Spa operations. This role will develop exceptional guest experiences in the Spa, for local and in-house guests, members, and residents.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      Define business strategy for the Spa together with the General Manager, and then lead the implementation of that strategy, working closely with colleagues in Sales & Marketing.

        Provide overall spa leadership, establishing and maintaining an effective control environment, both financial and operational.

          Ensure the highest quality of spa products and treatments.

            Lead the continuous improvement of Spa policies and operating practices.

              Oversee the ongoing development and positioning of the Spa offerings in terms of overall concept definition, philosophy, treatment & menu offerings.

                Review and refresh our spa product offering in line with current customer and industry global trends–anticipating future trends in the local market.

                  Manage a successful spa retail operation, maximizing sales via Spa product availability.

                    Conceptualize and implement annual Wellness initiatives, with a focus on local partnerships, recognized experts, and wellness retreats.

                      Work closely with sales & marketing to ensure cross-selling and marketing of Spa with group and transient guests.

                        Oversee the annual operating budget including capital expenditures, to achieve or exceed budget expectations.

                          Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers; maintain strong partnerships with vendors to ensure effective operations and that services provide the best quality and value.




                            Oversee key talent & culture processes including:

                                Recruitment and selection

                                  Performance management

                                    Daily rallies and on-going development of Spa & Wellness team

                                    Actively participate in achievement of overall hotel goals, as an active member of the management team; create strong relationships with all departments, participate in management meetings, daily rallies, and communicate key activities of the Spa.

                                      Process and direct social Spa memberships (if offered), handle managing all aspects of membership sales from initial inquiry to client meetings, conducting tours, and client correspondence; ensure timely follow-up with potential, current members, and group leads.

                                        Ensure achievement of annual Membership budget goal.

                                      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

                                          Five years’ operating experience in a hotel Spa department

                                            Must be familiar with the operations and priorities of all other hotel operating departments

                                              Experience in state and federal health and safety compliance

                                                Experience with administrative tasks, including reporting, budgeting, project management

                                                  Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

                                                    Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs



                                                  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

                                                      Bachelor’s Degree

                                                        Spanish language competency

                                                          Spa Management certification
