The Director of Sales will build and lead the sales team to grow our business threefold in 2023. This includes guidance, training/mentorship, setting sales quotas and goals, creating sales plans, and analyzing benchmarks and data. Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do:

  • Builds sales organization focused on Renuity’s new product offerings
  • Achieves growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales organization
  • Oversees interviews, hires, and trains Sales Representatives to the extent necessary to ensure proper selection; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines, including possible terminations, addresses complaints and resolves escalations
  • Develops training programs for the Sales Managers and Sales Representatives
  • Ensures daily duties include entering, scheduling and assigning new leads to the Sales Consultants
  • Manages recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of Sales Managers
  • Designs and implements a strategic sales plan that expands the Company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence
  • Develops and implements individual branch sales plans and quotas to meet or exceed Company goals
  • Provides sales, revenue and expense reports with realistic forecasts to the Executive Staff by division and product line
  • Establishes great working relationships with the Executive Staff to ensure clarity of positioning and ensure effective translation of brand understanding and objectives into effective sales plans
  • Ensures sales training of newly hired Sales Consultants; sits in weekly sales meetings, conducts one (1) on one (1) sales meetings per week with Sales Managers
  • Assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the sales organization and manages the sales program accordingly
  • Assists Sales Managers, when necessary, in negotiating and closing deals
  • Ensures all sales and communication activity is correctly complied and is in line with Company guidelines and delivered on a weekly basis to the executive staff to include: individual close rates, branch close rates and a plan of action for improvement
  • Enhances organization opportunities by accepting ownership for personal development, including by not limited to outside sales management training as well as exploring opportunities to add value to the sales organization
  • Helps Sales Managers by answering questions and responding to requests
  • Prepares/submits timely budget(s) to Executive Staff for approval to accomplish the required job duties
  • Complies with all applicable laws and regulations for the home improvement sales industry within the applicable states that the Company sells in
  • Leads investigation and documentation of all accidents/incidents involving Sales Consultants
  • Immediately inform the required Executive Staff and corporate personnel when an accident/incident occurs
  • Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Able to travel up to three weeks per month
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Staff
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Meets cost standards by monitoring expenses; implementing cost-saving actions
  • Knows the formal and informal goals, standards, policies and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments and is sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the organization
  • Complies with all relevant safety rules, procedures and guidelines, and be aware of responsibilities under the safety policy
  • Manages and mitigates risks and resolves and escalates issues as required
  • Complies with the Company’s policies on Diversity and to apply the principles of the policy when carrying out the role
Qualifications:
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in business administration or a related field preferred (this degree requirement can be substituted by outside sales experience)
  • 5+ years’ successful previous experience as a sales representative, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Has 5+ years of experience in a sales management or supervisor position
  • Has a valid driver’s license
  • Proficient at managing individuals
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Commitment to high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations, demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • A valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of sales
