Responsibilities:
The Director of Regulatory Services has overall responsibility for ensuring all Synchrony HS activities and operations are executed in compliance with State and/or Federal regulations and laws governing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develops and maintains an Operations Audit/Risk Assessment checklist to be used to prepare each location for quarterly and random Operations Audits
2. Develops and maintains an Operations Audit/Risk Assessment tool to be used to conduct quarterly and random Operations Audits of each location with the goal of providing findings and evaluation scores/feedback to Leadership and Home Office Support teams
3. Provides education to Synchrony HS Leadership personnel and customers on LTC regulatory and compliance topics through training sessions, symposiums, newsletters, or any other communication forum deemed appropriate
4. Ensures compliance related to state and/or Federal regulations and laws related to operations
5. Leads credentialing and certification program and processes
6. Supports licensing and credentialing support
7. Partners with, and is the liaison to, respective State Boards for all Synchrony HS locations
8. Analyzes and provides decision support regarding legality of operational opportunities
9. Directs regulation impact research and implementation support
10. Oversees new legislation impact and implementation support
11. Leads the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse annual and quarterly audits
12. Serves as gatekeeper for all external regulatory audits. Reviews and approves major audit response prior to submission.
13. Provides executive management support with regulatory opinions
14. Manages regulatory budget allocations
15. Escalates risks as appropriate and seeks expert advice from other Leaders when necessary
16. Travel, including overnight stay as necessary
17. Meets Expectations of Excellence for position
18. Supports departmental goals and the overall objectives of the Company
19. Complies with all laws, regulations, and standards of ethical conduct
20. Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach
21. Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards

Qualifications:
Licenses/Certifications
- Active state license in good standing, if applicable
- Project Management certification preferred
Experience
- Three (3) to five (5) years in regulatory or industry-related experience
- Project management and strong operational foundation preferred
- Proven track record in effective communication skills
- Experience interfacing with government regulatory agencies
- Experience developing and implementing successful regulatory programs and strategies
- Experience in a leadership role with strong management skills
- Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
