Job Description:The Director of Recruitment & Training manages and coordinates all the recruitment and training department efforts to ensure that program quality is at the highest standards as we continue to grow. The position will work within the departments to oversee full life cycle recruitment of team members, training initiatives, performance reviews, background check compliance as well as maintain effective programs for retention, promotion and succession planning. The Director of Recruitment & Training will have the following overall responsibilities: Leadership· Attract, develop, retain, and lead high-functioning departments to execute the company’s strategic plan and deliver the best program to our families across DC/MD & VA· Set an example in the areas of personal character, commitment, communication, and work habits· Demonstrate excellent customer service and frequent and timely communication at all times· Conduct presentations and trainings· Empower all team members to make decisions, grow, improve the business and positively influence the culture· Prepare weekly meetings and quarterly performance reviews with team members· Partner with Operations department & HR department to ensure program requirements and compliance are met· Developing effective sourcing, recruitment & training strategies that result in client satisfaction. · Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to have influence and impact the recruiting, hiring, on-boarding and training process. Management· Implement performance management & quality improvement strategies to produce high performing, remarkable coaches and a high performing department· Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including job descriptions, standards of performance and evaluation measurements.· Oversee the recruiting department efforts and ensure there is a successful full life cycle recruitment (post, source, screen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding etc). Complete hiring process within defined metrics to minimize overall time-to-start. Develop appropriate marketing strategies, define roles and responsibilities for the department and ensure there is an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle while minimizing cost-per-hire.· Work with Recruitment team and HR department to ensure compliance in background checks and company policies· Weekly coaching and mentoring of Managers and Coordinators· Responsible for managing the department’s budget as well as approving department’s payroll and time off requests· Work with Training Manager on developing training initiatives· Executing seasons start weeks and in-season responsibilities· Continually assess and improve recruiting and training department systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization’s business objectives
Role/Classification:The job description above is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40-50 hours of work per week. Typical/expected working hours are Monday through Friday, between 8:30am and 5pm. During busy seasons, it will be necessary to work additional hours, including some weekday evenings and weekend mornings to meet deadlines and exceed goals. Coaching sessions is not a requirement of the position but will be expected as needed. At times, position is required to stand, run, walk and communicate in an outdoor environment through duration of work assignment.
Program Objectives:1. For Soccer Shots to be the best run, most popular, and most successful elective programoffered in the DC/MD/VA area2. For Soccer Shots to have a reputation of excellence (i.e. “that’s the group that does thatawesome soccer program…my kids loved it…those instructors are great”). An objectivemeasure of each territory’s reputation for quality will be learned in the Net Promoter Scoresurvey conducted at the end of each fall and spring season.3. To be a Top 10% franchise in participant registration and revenue (in category) and percapita rating and to meet and exceed seasonal and annual enrollment and revenue goals.

Manage a department who will uphold a standard of excellence and create a positive reputation for Soccer Shots.3. Meet weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines. Go above and beyond company expectations to hire, train and develop our recruiting and training department.5. Exceed the system average NPS (Net Promoter Score).6. Adhere to all company policies and represent Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity.

Compensation is based on performance, and Soccer Shots reserves the right to terminate employment for failure to meet expectations.

Program Performance Evaluation and Reviews: • Soccer Shots will perform an initial review after 60 days.• Key performance measurables will be reviewed quarterly through ameeting with a supervisor• Soccer Shots will perform an annual review in December of each calendar year.
Required education / experience:• 10+ years’ experience in leadership & HR or operation roles• 8+ years customer management experience• 8+ years in progressive management roles leading teams• Proven experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• BA/BS required from a 4-year accredited university in Business or related field; MBA preferred
