This remote position is responsible to market company product and service to Payor Organizations with in the predetermined geographic service area. It will be the direct responsibility of the Director of Payor Relations to maintain and expand the contractual and service relationships will all Payor Organizations within the designated territory.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write and maintain quarterly strategic and tactical plan
  • Negotiate and secure Payor Contracts.
  • Coordinate Payor strategies to ensure they fit with and support and compliment Finance, RCM, Sales Reps sales efforts and operations of Regional Service Center.
  • Demonstrate ability to explore and target multiple Payor types, including HMO’s PPO’s self-insured employers, unions, etc.
  • Support Medicomp efforts to conduct clinical and economic trials as well as case studies and communicate those findings and our value effectively to payors and gain contracts at desired reimbursements and payment.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Performance Factors:

  • Relationships and Communications
  • Develop and continuously perfect presentations and material for payors meetings that accurately reflects the demands of the company.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with all levels of Payor staff that impact our business. This will include clinical, non-clinical, contracting and payment.
  • Coordinate with Director, Revenue Cycle and Billing/Collection Representative to follow up with Payor accounts on payment issues and how to prevent them.

Payor Contracts:

  • Present proposals with supporting data to establish a contracting to support company pricing structure.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms and present outcome to Vice President of Finance.
  • Review contract language and other pertinent documents with utmost detail and communicate findings back to Vice President of Finance.
  • Maintain list of all current Payor contracts and tracker of all contracts being worked and needed.
  • Track renewal of all contracts.
  • Demonstrate a creative approach to strengthen our contractual relationships into more of a partnership/exclusive type of contracts.
  • Support expansion of Medicomp by providing insight, strategic plan, and Payor attractiveness in target market.

Development:

  • Represent Medicomp in a professional and positive way at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but the candidate will be working collaboratively with sales, marketing, revenue management, finance and legal.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS in related field
  • Minimum 7 years of recent successful experience in healthcare related sales with emphasis on selling to Payor Organizations, Insurance Companies, Self-insured groups, Unions, ACO’s and IDN’s. Knowledge of the cardiac medical device or IDTF field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating and presenting to senior level Payor Executives.
  • Strong relationship with Payor Organizations.
  • Strong Team Player
  • Computer Experience with Windows and Google
