Director of Operations & Finance


SCOPE OF WORK:

The Director of Operations & Finance is a full-time, exempt position responsible for the operational oversight of the Center’s programs and services as well as the supervision of administrative staff. The Director of Operations & Finance oversees finances, information technology, and facilities management. The position is a part of the leadership team and reports to the Executive Director.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Leadership & Staff Development

  • Work with Executive Director and leadership team to uphold the strategic mission, vision, and standards of care of the agency

  • Provide regular supervision to members of the Operations team and report out on department priorities and objectives

  • Apply an intersectional, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist framework that ensures all work lifts up and centers BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth


Financial Oversight

  • Support grant contracting and reporting related to the funding of the Center’s programs and services

  • Ensure timely remittance and documentation of payment to all staff, contract employees, vendors, and business relationships

  • Oversight of monthly petty cash access and reconciliation

  • Supervise and work closely with the agency accountant and treasurer to steward financial resources and provide regular reporting on the agency’s financial position

  • Collaborate with the treasurer and accountant to oversee the agency’s annual audit


Operations & Facilities Management

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal non-profit regulations

  • Review and revise the Center’s policies and procedures to ensure that they remain effective and relevant to the Center

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for human resource systems related to new employee applicant tracking and onboarding

  • Create and track the onboarding process for new employees including but not limited to creating email access, phone system, tech needs, and building entry.

  • Manage relationships with outside professional resources and contract professionals that maintain the agency’s daily operations
