Due to our continued growth, we are hiring for a Director of Learning and Development at Wake Research, an M3 company. This is a remote position with up to 40% travel.

Job Description

Mission of the Role:
The Director of Learning and Development will be responsible for building and implementing our clinical training programs within the M3 Wake Research Network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the Training Manager, the Director of Learning and Development will coordinate and oversee clinical staff training, remedial training, and onboarding activities.
Ensures clinical staff within the M3 Wake Research network complete all necessary training which can include New Hire & Annual Training, CITI Training, SOP Training and LMS Training.
Designs and plans the training and onboarding strategy of clinical employees and contractors within the M3 Wake Research Network with input from Head of Clinical Operations and other leaders within the M3 Wake Research Network.
Implements training strategies through development of training modules and direct mentorship.
Provides continual remote and on-site guidance and mentorship to new and existing clinical staff within the M3 Wake Research network.
Provides necessary guidance and clear role expectations for team members within the training department.
Communicates regular updates and promptly escalates any issues or concerns related to staff training needs to the Head of Clinical Operations and QMS Leadership.
Writes and/or provides input to department specific SOPs and Internal Processes.
Develops, and/or solicits assistance from KOLs in functional areas to develop relevant training for clinical staff within the M3 Wake Research network.
Responsible for the content implementation, and management, of the LMS.
Participates in the assessment of quality issues and to determine applicable process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in one of the life sciences or clinical research and/or a licensed healthcare professional OR equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience.
Ability to travel up to 40% to perform on-site training and mentorship of clinical staff within the M3 Wake Research network of sites.
2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator and/or Clinical Research Site Manager
2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Clinical Research Site Trainer
Advanced computer literacy and skills in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Advanced knowledge of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively and work in a team environment is required.
Well versed in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), and laboratory procedures.
Experienced with development and creation of source document templates, both paper and eSource.
Ability to conduct interactive and engaging training sessions.
Positive attitude and ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of staff to successfully coordinate, execute, and oversee training activities.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent initiative, independent judgment, and discretion.
Excellent attention to detail.
