Location: Elmhurst, IL
Position Summary:
The Director of Financial Services is responsible for selling supplemental finance and insurance programs to new and used truck customers, including financing the vehicle purchase by developing vendor relationships, creates and maintaining lending processes and leading a team of Finance and Insurance professionals.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provide financial services to our commercial customers by offering a wide range of finance, insurance, and warranty products for vehicle purchases.
- Maintain current knowledge of all finance, lease, and warranty programs and communicate program information to the finance and sales teams.
- Develop, train and lead the F&I team.
- Develop and implement F&I sales processes and internal controls.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key financial lending institutions.
- Establish commercial lines of credit with key lending institutions to accommodate future customer purchases.
- Create alternative finance and lending programs.
- Facilitate the delivery of customer vehicles by ensuring the funding of all vehicle finance contracts.
- Provide management with ad-hoc finance reports detailing F&I income, market penetration and lost sales.
- Maintain a current knowledge of all local, state, and federal commercial finance and insurance regulations and licensing.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Education and/or required experience:
- Prefer 10+ years of automotive or truck financial services experience.
- Proven leadership and ability to manage team.
- Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance required.
