Director of Finance and Revenue Cycle Job at Carroll County Memorial Hospital
The hospital director of finance has direct responsibility for directing and coordinating all hospital activities concerned with financial administration, general accounting, patient accounting, cashiering, information systems, practice management, and financial and statistical reporting. The hospital director will function as the primary financial advisor to hospital administration and the hospital board. The director is responsible for ascertaining that hospital internal controls are adequate to safeguard the hospital’s assets and that systems are in place and functioning that will generate accurate financial reporting. This position reports to the hospital CEO and board of directors.
Position Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in either Accounting or Finance is required or must be in progress.
- Minimum 5 years’ current experience in a hospital Controller or accounting role. (CAH experience preferred)
- Up-to-date technical expertise in a hospital setting is required and experienced in Microsoft Office products/applications. Experience with CPSI software is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experienced in supervising accounting/finance staff
- Successful history in negotiating commercial insurance agreements
