Director of Environmental Services - Golden Years Job at Greencroft Communities
We have a rare opportunity to join the Leadership Team at Golden Years Homestead.
The Director of Environmental Services works first shift Monday through Friday. You will supervise a team of 12-15 full and part time employees who are the front-line housekeepers and laundry aides at this Continuing Care Living Community. Our Environmental Services Team is the reason Golden Years is known as the cleanest senior living community in Fort Wayne. You will coach and develop this team to meet and exceed the expectations of residents in all buildings on campus, assuring that tasks are completed excellently and on time.
This Leadership position is also responsible for tasks like these:
- Train new hires in infection control procedures
- Conduct daily inspections of work areas
- Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) on all chemicals used in the department
- Maintains inventory of necessary supplies to meet current and future needs
- Operates department with budgets for labor, equipment, and supplies
To be successful in this position, you must have great organizational skills and be able to work cooperatively with people from varied backgrounds. Previous experience in institutional housekeeping is preferred. We value creativity, respect, openness, fairness, and teamwork in all departments.
