Director of Early Childhood Job at Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities

This role reports directly to the Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer and oversees services delivered to nearly 2,000 children from birth to age five in a vibrant, collaborative, community-based environment, which includes:
- Home-based early intervention services, strongly supported by Franklin County Help Me Grow and Nationwide Children’s Hospital
- Using an inclusive, blended service delivery approach, with both center-based and home-based services, in partnership with Head Start, Columbus City Schools, the YMCA Early Learning Center of Central Ohio, and the Ohio State University Nisonger Center Dental Clinic, as well as other partner agencies
- Quality oversight from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and the Ohio Department of Education, as well as Ohio Job and Family Services and Ohio Department of Health
- Supporting the work of approximately 175 employees and contracted service providers to sustain a collaborative approach with shared responsibility, mutual trust and shared learning, within a collective bargaining environment
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualified applicants will have a masters degree from an accredited institution in special education, education leadership, education administration or a related field and at least five years supervisory and/or leadership in early childhood, providing services to children with and without developmental disabilities. Experience working with a diverse population of children, staff and families is required.
