Job Summary:
Serves as the primary resource for business development and promotional efforts. Is the key Provides leadership and guidance to marketing efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Leads business development efforts and is a key producer in securing new clients and work for the Firm.
- Responds to inquiries regarding new work and potential clients with correspondence, folios, in person presentations, engages Principal and follows up with proposals as required.
- Represents the Firm as Business Developer for potential clients.
- Researches target prospects and arranges meetings between company decision makers and key Firm team members.
- Plays a key role in securing new work to help ensure a consistent workload and cash flow.
- Leads the sales process from prospecting to contract signing, working with Principal and Designers to successfully close work.
- Assists Principal and Designers in pursuing new projects with existing clients.
- Assists principal in implementing a marketing budget and strategy.
- Establishes a network of associated professionals to obtain references for future work.
- Maintains relationships with building and developing industry, publications, and associations.
- Reviews with Principal the worthiness of commercially photographed projects that have been built.
- Works with Principal and marketing team on direct mail program to make clients and potential clients aware of our services.
- Assists and participates in speech opportunities.
- Reviews office award strategy in conjunction with Principal for entering awards programs and producing awards packages for submission.
- Oversees maintenance of existing marketing files and documents new projects as they occur.
- Attends seminars, workshops, meetings, and events to maintain professional contact and provide feedback and information to firm on market and creative trends.
- Focused on acquiring ongoing job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations to stay ahead of national trends.
- Supports and upholds company policies and procedures, both internally and in matters outside the company.
- Identifies and analyzes trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements and tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
- Protects organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality.
- Works with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet client needs.
- Serves as the communication liaison between BSB and the Client, debriefing as needed throughout the process.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be versatile to work well in both a team environment and independently.
- Must be able to conduct research and do strategic analysis.
- Possess excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize all work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding and visualization of projects from conception through completion.
- Must possess a passion for architecture and the drive to advance professionally.
- Must be able to prioritize and triage obligations for self, office leadership and clients.
- Must have a high competency of working with Microsoft Office and understanding of CRM software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Marketing, or related field.
- Five to ten years’ experience in the building industry.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
