The Opportunity

The position will be responsible for the month-end closing, account reconciliation and profit and loss reporting. Oversee all accounting activities and related audits, fixed assets, accounts payable processing including year-end 1099 reporting, 990 reporting, and integration of strategic expansion opportunities

You Will

  • Monitor all general ledger reconciliations and variance explanations to ensure accuracy and provide oversight.
  • Responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and preparation of the financial statements for senior management team.
  • Responsible for preparation of schedules for all 990 and Tax reporting for all required entities.
  • Responsible for the year-end financial audit of all legal entities.
  • Establish procedures in accordance with GAAP and company requirements.
  • Review capital projects and work with the Director of Facilities to ensure proper accounting.
  • Work with controller to oversee expansion and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Provide schedules as needed for annual financial plans and projections for the company.
  • Motivate, engage and develop staff by communicating job expectations, planning, providing training, developing personal growth opportunities, appraising job results, coaching, and counseling via regular 1:1’s and periodic goal reviews.
  • Partner with other functional areas to ensure the company’s processes and procedures include the appropriate level of financial discipline.
  • Partner with Data Warehouse team for reporting through Business Intelligence tools.
  • Responsible for the creation and review of the Monthly/Quarterly financial reporting package to management and the Board of Directors.
  • Support all internal, external, and regulatory audits as they relate to the accounting department.
  • Assist Financial Planning and Analysis, as needed, in the annual budget and reforecasting process.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting to the department managers for actual to budget expenses as well as “what-if” analysis.
  • Partner with other functional areas to ensure the company’s processes and procedures include the appropriate level of financial discipline.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or related field of study required.
  • Master's Degree and/or CPA Designation strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive management experience within finance and accounting.
  • GAAP and financial management level experience.
  • Health care experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of project-based accounting software (Oracle Fusion Cloud a plus)
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and computer skills required.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work evenings, as needed
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud and experience using a report writer is a plus
