Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking full-time and part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) who is responsible, compassionate and caring to join our growing team. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for supervision and facilitation of activities of daily living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism in a residential setting.

Essential job functions include:

· Providing direct support to individuals receiving services to include personal care, hygiene and toileting.

· Meal planning and preparation in accordance with dietary recommendations and individual preferences.

· Ensuring safety of individuals in the residential program and community settings.

· Fostering positive relationships between individuals and families/natural supports and community members

· Light housekeeping to include, cleaning, laundry, etc.

· Documentation of services and supports rendered in compliance with Pa Ch. 6400 regulations

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Candidate is 18 years of age or older

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Comprehensive paid training provided.

• CPR/First Aid/AED certificaiton preferable, but not required for hire.
• Medication Administration Certification (Ch. 6400) preferable, but not required for hire.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs minimum.
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass physical exam and drug screen

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
