Forward Visions is an agency that offers a foundation of supportive services to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities grow more independent and achieve fuller, more satisfying lives. We support individuals in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. We are expanding and looking to hire direct support professionals to work with individuals.

Duties include but are not limited to, support the Health and Wellness of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), advocate on behalf of the individual, provide supervision and training to individuals in order to promote and enhance each person’s growth toward their best life and actively work with people to maintain and improve levels of skill and/or independence, actively work with people to maintain and improve levels of skill and/or independence. encourage positive attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion, contribution, and/or employment, accompany individuals to and from appointments and activities, foster a meaningful relationship between individuals and their community, provide transportation via company vehicles to supported persons, administer medication(s) and complete appropriate documentation and attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings.

Qualified persons must have a High school degree/GED, be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license, have a clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background screening, must have the ability to work in a group home, home-like settings, must have the ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the organization, must be able to lift 40lbs, must have the ability to work in a team environment, must treat all with kindness and respect

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.50 per hour
