Arc GLOW - Direct Support Professionals - ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Direct Support Professionals (DSP/Care Providers) provide a variety of activities to adults with developmental disabilities. It could be within the home setting, attending our Day Programs, recreational activities in their home and in the community. Working with a team, DSPs assist program participants with daily living skills, personalized goals, arts and crafts, sensory activities, and accompany on outings in the community such as concerts, local parks, farm markets, lunch outings, and so much more!

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

• Full-time, Part Time and Per Diem opportunities
• All shifts are available
• Shift differential for our Residential program that need staffing 24 hours.

WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?

• Provides daily care to the people we support with developmental, intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
• Assists and encourages the people we support to care for immediate personal needs.
• Assists with planning daily activities and participates in the activities in small groups.
• Documents all program data accurately and timely.
• Enjoys working in a team environment.
• Has a willingness to learn new skills (we provide paid training).
• Has a drive to help others with their personal goals.
• Possesses some computer skills.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DSP:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent required.
• Valid NYS driver's license with a safe driving record

Employment at Arc GLOW as a DSP can qualify you in the Health Care and Mental Hygiene Worker Bonus Program (HWB). DSP’s may be eligible to earn up to $3000 in bonuses for qualifying service if they meet specific requirements including continuous service during the appropriate vesting periods.
