*Job Summary:*
COF Training Services is looking for a full-time DSM for our Osage City, Kansas location.
Supports the Mission, Philosophies and Goals for the Agency. Oversee supports provided to Individuals with developmental disabilities by complying with state and federal standards, supervising subordinates and by adhering to company standards established for occupancy, compliance, and efficiency. The Direct Support Manager (DSM) coordinates the services of a group of individuals who receive services from COF Training Services, Inc. The Direct Support Manager manages the Direct Support Professional (DSP) hours as a commodity of service delivery.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:
- Responsible for PCSP Process-develop and implement.
- Coordinate Integration Experiences (Day Service), Employment, In Home Care (Residential Service), and Access to Health Care (as assigned).
- Staffing to accomplish service delivery –hire, fire, train, discipline.
- Oversee Data Collection Quality and Entry/ Submission.
- Development of Individual/Family Relations.
- Collect and review of data entry of Individual Day Service attendance to effectively ensure maximum service delivery and access to community integration and/or employment.
- Provides oversight, monitoring, and documentation of Individual Residential Service attendance.
- Guides and participates in PCSP/PBSP/RA Process- development, implementation, and maintenance (updated as close to real time as possible) maximizing input of individual receiving services or their guardian.
- Participates in BASIS Process- Meeting Attendance; Support Data- collection, preparation, and submission.
- Updates (or appropriately delegates) Service Database demographic and Support Programing information as needed.
- Quality checks on documentation including database systems: (Daily, Weekly, Monthly review activities).
- Including but not limited to: MARS, ISP Programs (Basis, Support Logs, Goals), FS Tracking, Staff Duties check list, vehicle documentation, etc.
- Calendar coordination for Residential Supports, Integration Activities, Employment Opportunities, and access to Healthcare Services.
- Accessing necessary supplies/funds for Individuals participation in activities.
- Staffing to cover individual needs-within given DSP hours budget and as appropriate for health, safety, and welfare of individuals receiving service from COF Training Services, Inc.
- Hire/Fire-according to provided staffing budget with Area Director oversight.
- DSP disciplinary actions/training enforcement/oversight.
- DSP timecard management-corrections, PTO approval, final approval.
- Ensure all personnel documentation is submitted for proper filing in personnel records.
- Working a DSP shift as necessary.
- Staff meeting/Training
- Conduct Monthly meeting.
- Provide any additional specialized training.
- Review quality checks, documentation, changes in client plans.
- Procedure review and updates.
- Train and develop advocates.
- On-site, vigilant, mobile, actively engaged in individual care/ DSP oversight.
- Provide and/or observe direct Individual care as needed.
- Complete service documentation as needed.
- Facility maintenance coordination as needed.
- Individual’s and business supply ordering as needed.
- Provide or delegate completion of OJT for DSPs.
- Planning and leading DSP meetings for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
- Emergency drill documentation review and routing.
- Responsible for running Day Center drills or delegating this to be done to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining and routing documentation for Emergency drills for Residential settings and provider-owned Day Service settings to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Building and maintaining rapport with individual guardians and family members.
- Participate in Supervisory on-call Rotation.
- Serve on Committees as assigned.
- Work as a team with peer managers.
- Carry company phone and respond to calls in a reasonable amount of time.
- Must complete trainings as required within specified timeframe. (See Employee Handbook Section 2.11) Complies with all agency policies and procedures including HIPAA/Confidentiality policies.
- Attending work as scheduled.
- Other duties may be assigned.
NOTE: COF operations are 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Therefore, it should be clearly understood that working non-standard hours is the rule rather than the exception.

*Supervisory Responsibilities:*
- The Direct Support Manager coordinates services of a group of individuals receiving services from COF Training Services, Inc. and supervises their associated Advocates and DSPs.

Requirements/Licenses:
- One Year of work experience with individuals intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is required.
- Supervisory experience highly preferred.
- Must be able to pass extensive background checks.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, email programs, and other data-based systems; willingness to learn other computer programs with training.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including variable shifts.
- Must always maintain Medication-Delegated status.
- Must participate in ongoing professional development in the human services field and managerial position.
- Should exhibit a high degree of patience, empathy and professionalism in working with individuals with IDD.
- If qualified, must be able to drive large passenger vans in a variety of traffic conditions.
- If qualified, must have a valid Kansas driver's license and a good driving record.

- High School Diploma required, Associates and/or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred.
