The Utilization Management Director will manage, supervise, and direct the operations for Cumberland hospital. Provide clinical leadership to each department to ensure effective and efficient operations and serve as liaison between administration and the departments.
Position Purpose:
To manage, supervise and direct the operations of the Utilization Management department of Cumberland Hospital. To provide clinical leadership to each department in order to ensure effective and efficient operations of each and to serve as the liaison between Administration and the departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in related field or RN with experience in Case Management
Experience:
Requires four years experience in nursing, rehabilitative services, mental health counseling, marketing or admissions.
Qualifications:
Must know how to gather and analyze data.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to ensure the efficient operations of the Utilization Management department.- Ensures and demonstrates coordination of patient’s/resident’s treatment through the interdisciplinary team and payor and external referral sources.
- Ensures and demonstrates the management of the patient/resident transition through the discharge planning and post discharge period for continuity of care.
- Ensures the development and maintenance of new and existing managed care/agency provider agreements.
- Establish, manage and monitor safety standards, processes, communications, training and systems for employees.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in related field or RN with experience in Case Management
Experience:
Requires four years experience in nursing, rehabilitative services, mental health counseling, marketing or admissions.
Qualifications:
Must know how to gather and analyze data.
Know basic understanding of medical terminology
Establish, monitor, and manage safety standards, processes, communications, training, and systems for employees.
Ensures and demonstrates the management of the patient/resident transition through discharge planning and post discharge period for continuity of care.
Ensures and demonstrates the management of the patient/resident treatment through interdisciplinary team.
