Immediate opening for Salaried Dining Room Manager (DRM) position at a beautiful, fully vaccinated retirement community in Des Moines, WA. The DRM reports directly to the Director of Dining Services and works with a team of professional managers and chefs and RD and Dining Room Supervisor (DRS) team. DRM will oversee the servers providing exceptional service to residents in the Rainier Dining Room, Bistro, and catering. Primary duties include:

• recruiting and retention of team members (servers)
• onboarding and training team members (servers) in conjunction with DRS
• managing schedule for the three areas of service - Dining room, Bistro and catering
• assigning table sections and organizing reservations
• overseeing the dining room dinner meal service and the Bistro through the noon meal period.
• ensuring residents are provided a great resident experience through attentive and personalized service and table touching
• updates to POS and resident engagement platform as needed
• overseeing safety and sanitation through audits, training and checklist compliance
• assisting with catering and special event planning and execution

Shift requirements -mid week usual days off - must be willing to be present through the dinner meal (usually ends by 7:30) and work holidays as needed.

Must be willing to go through fingerprinting; physical and be fully vaccinated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,500.00 - $67,000.00 per year
