Digital Print Operator

The Digital Print Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of digital presses.

Responsibilities:

Read job tickets, gather any information and material to produce a quality product in compliance with job specifications and timelines.

Setup, program, and release jobs from the print queue.

Prepare press in an efficient and timely manner.

Observe press operation to detect machine malfunctions.

Monitor quality of job output for correctness, image quality, and accurate color match to proofing materials.

Help manage waste to reasonable levels.

Verify quantities, skid tags, and check off sheets for any missing information.

Record job charges in the data collection database.

Communicate any pertinent information to the Print Operator on the following shift.

Perform daily and weekly maintenance routines and requests service when needed.

Assist in other departments as needed.

Adhere to Sandy Alexander's quality and environmental policies, procedures, goals, and objectives and comply with all safety and work rules when performing duties.

Complete and maintain all required checklists, paperwork, records, documents, etc. and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Previous Digital Printing experience required
• Requires thorough knowledge of applicable equipment setup, adjustments, and calibration
• Ability to diagnose and resolve operating problems affecting quality and delivery schedule
• Must be self-motivated, reliable, and quality and safety-oriented
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication is required
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and 40 pounds occasionally

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.62 - $22.00 per hour
