This role is necessary to perform Digital Forensics investigations and Electronic Discovery work for Mars globally. This role is responsible for executing the delivery of Digital Forensics services, supporting the production of service delivery metrics, and implementing architecture and roadmaps. This is a deep technical subject matter expert that can determine the proper course of action and tools needed to perform digital forensics investigations and eDiscovery matters. This is a global role that requires context of how Mars, Inc and all legal entities operate.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate as the lead Digital Forensics and eDiscovery technical subject matter expert for Mars Inc. globally.

• Deliver digital forensics investigations and eDiscovery matters individually and with team support.

• Perform comprehensive forensic analyses and interpretation of computer-related evidence such as e-mail, OneDrive and information stored on electronic devices

• Prepare reports on findings and presenting briefings to customers and leadership in an objective and forensically sound manner.

• Lead the development and maintenance of digital forensics technology roadmap and processes.

• Lead the engineering and deployment of digital forensics platforms and tools to ensure the availability and optimization of the forensics services.

• Support the development and maintenance of a Digital Forensics service plan and roadmap.

• Research ways to advance digital forensics capabilities and tools as technologies advance and evolve.

• Support the production of service delivery metrics to demonstrate performance and value of the service.

• Perform quality control of work product from the team and 3rd party resources.

• Partner with Digital Forensics customers to deliver outcomes based on investigation requirements.

• Collaborates with Cybersecurity Incident Response to complete forensic analysis for malware and related incidents.

• Manage and perform 20+ digital forensics investigations and cases annually.

Job Specifications/Qualifications

• University degree (engineering/IT/computer science) or equivalent work experience

• Digital forensics certifications preferred: EnCE (Encase Certified Examiner), SANS GCFA (GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst), SANS GCFE (GIAC Certified Forensics Engineer).

• 7+ years’ work experience in the field of Digital Forensics and eDiscovery, conducting digital forensic examinations and analysis.

• Deep level knowledge in digital forensics tools. EnCase Information Investigator and EnCase Information Assurance are strongly preferred, as is Microsoft Purview

• Deep level knowledge in architecture and design of forensics tools and platforms, particularly the Encase platforms.

• Advanced understanding of computer hardware and operating systems in the contexts needed to perform forensics activities.

• Familiarity with cloud-based repositories as well as physical digital media.

• Mobile device / Mac investigation experience a plus. (Paraben)

• Knowledge in litigation hold for data preservation and privacy data search requests.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable with presenting findings to others, including leadership.

• Ability to write reports and statements in clear, objective, unambiguous language.

• Ability to carry out confidential internal investigations with objectivity and respect.

• Familiarity with privacy policies

• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
