We are currently looking for Dietary Aides for 1st shift and weekends. All potential employees must be vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated for Covid-19.

TITLE: Dietary Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:
Dietary Assistants are responsible for assisting the Dietary Director/Chef in maintaining sanitary kitchen areas and in serving meals and busing tables in the dining areas. Dietary Assistants have the potential to be in contact with residents, families and guests, this position requires tact, sensitivity and
professionalism.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve meals for residents, families and guests
2. Maintain a sanitary and attractive kitchen and dining room environment
3. Provide excellent customer service to our residents and their guests: Take food orders and serve food according to approved procedures; as needed, collect guest meal tickets and punch employee meal cards
4. Set up work and serving areas; assure that dining room and carts are properly stocked with food, beverages and supplies for breakfast, lunch and dinner services as appropriate; ensure resident snacks are always adequately stocked
5. Clean dining room tables, chairs and floors and other surfaces between meals and as needed
6. Perform a variety of food service tasks throughout shift as time permits – replace soiled table linens, clean and fill condiment containers, insert weekly menus into menu covers, etc.
7. Store unused food items according to approved health and sanitation standards; receive, store and rotate frozen foods as assigned
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

5. Empathy for the challenges experienced by residents, families and team members and the problem-solving skill sets to support them.
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
8. Understands and properly uses all safety equipment.'
