What You’ll Do

JOB SUMMARY

Performs all functions of a fully qualified heavy duty truck repair mechanicunder minimal supervision.

• Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, in the time allotted with minimum supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on major problems.
• Writes itemized story to summarize each repair performed.
• Properly clocks on and off applicable repair orders and repair segments.
• Works with and helps train Apprentice Diesel Mechanics.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Service Advisor if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Participates in training to stay abreast of new technology.
• Adheres to and promotes company safety policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a Supervisor.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

• Medium and Heavy Equipment Experience or Knowledge (Construction, Agriculture and/or Trucking)
• Mechanical Knowledge including automotive experience.
• Team Player
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Vets with mechanical experience encouraged to apply.

• perform necessary repairs and inspections to maximize safe and productive operations.
• perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• complete inspections
• diagnose and repair engines, hydraulics, suspension, steering systems, and brake systems.
