Role Value Proposition:

We are looking for talented Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team in MetLife Global Technology Organization (GTO). In GTO, our team designs, engineers and supports infrastructure solutions using Cloud technologies for MetLife business in over 40+ countries. This role will help build and transform cloud infrastructure solutions to enable MetLife’s digital transformation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate Azure cloud infrastructure delivery
• provide strong guidance in the infrastructure and networking troubleshooting space to other team members
• Provide level 2 to level 3 technical support for cloud infrastructure and solutions the team deployed
• Provide write-up for Root Cause Analysis and represent at the Major Problem Review Meeting

• Participate in Proof of Concept (POC) analysis and evaluation of new technologies and products
• Collaborate with others from the same team and other teams to improve or develop new infrastructure capabilities to support business strategies and initiatives
• Design and implement secured cloud infrastructure solutions
• Ability to manage the change activities and communicate any technical impact to change management
• Identify gaps and areas of improvement using operational metrics and collaborate with senior members using SAFe Agile framework to address business needs and improve business value
• Take on technical leading role in with limited guidance from senior team members to work on specific features of the cloud solutions

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field preferred, or 4+ years equivalent work experience
• Knowledgeable in networking technologies such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• High-level understanding of how applications communicate over the network and the ability to use protocol level analysis tools such as Wireshark to troubleshoot problems
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues arising from networking that spans cloud and on-premises
• Must have strong analytical skills, good understanding of application and network architecture, and ability to assess security designs with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Core Azure Technologies such as Azure Networking, Azure Compute, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor or equivalent with other cloud providers
• Experience with network automation using Python or Terraform
• Experience with Linux and virtual machines
• Network-related certification (CCNA or similar)
• Cloud-related certification (Azure or similar)
