Responsible for the development, programming, management, troubleshooting, training, security, and technological support of the company’s cross-functional Accruent/Lucernex on-line project management system which includes the creation, modification, and management of full lifecycle restaurant development systems and associated software packages necessary for capital project initiation, tracking, and archiving; including designing, configuring and programming system infrastructure. Analyzes, designs, and implements system enhancements and new software modules as may be required to support company initiatives and on-going business needs. Manages development of system and infrastructure projects from initial design through full implementation which include all necessary cross-functional coordination, training, and data feed integration.

Essential Job Functions

• Serves as a functional expert in formulating and defining scope and objectives for Restaurant Development Systems based on thorough understanding and analysis of applicable business systems and customer needs/requirements in multiple business areas. Follows the defined System Development Lifecycle process which includes the creation of required documentation and required approvals for each phase. Codes, tests, debugs, implements and integrates complex systems; ensures application security. Monitors system architecture performance, troubleshoots and resolves system failures, and plans system changes necessary to respond to changes in the computing hardware and software infrastructure.
• Leads, manages, and maintains the development and implementation of the Restaurant Development’s project management software systems; provides planning expertise to configure systems requirements into project phases and tasks, including the setup, design, and maintenance; ensures appropriate documentation exists for project phases as it relates to the software systems. Evaluates application or system software packages, measures performance, evaluates technical and business requirements; makes recommendations to management.
• Responsible for developing and implementing specific tools and workflow processes necessary to support the proper execution of the department’s assigned workload, develop and monitor the necessary audit trail required to document restaurant development processes, and supporting internal and external business partners, and franchise operators by providing the appropriate training and technical support regarding the department’s workflow processes and the Lucernex (LX) management system.
• Oversees current software vendors and consultant associations; develops and establishes vendor measurement system to evaluate vendor performance and customer satisfaction. Researches potential consultant or vendor candidates, communicates company expectations and conducts contract negotiations. Monitors vendor cost and performance; reports results to management.
• Develops and oversees a comprehensive user/role specific on-boarding and training program of instruction for all Development software and business solutions. Performs special projects that support the Restaurant Development Department’s systems technology needs, including: researches, analyzes, modifies and supports new data and business practice systems to improve efficiency and customer service.
• Responsible for reviewing, approving, and processing vendor invoices, including reviewing for accuracy prior to payment and manages relationships with software vendors. Ensures vendors are providing excellent levels of service, and measures performance of various plans and programs.
• Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned and directed.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years project management and restaurant development process and systems development and programming experience required.
• Experience working with operating systems and PC software development tools in a LAN environment preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Real Estate and Construction business practices in a corporate restaurant environment preferred.
• Excellent oral and written English communication, interpersonal and training skills; strong organizational and problem solving skills.
• Solid technical knowledge, with hands-on experience with PC programming languages.
• Software & other skillsets may include but are not limited to: Accruent/Lucernex, Visual Basic, LotuScript; database management technologies such as SQL server, Notes, ACCESS; end-user reporting software such as Crystal Reports, ACCESS, ORACLE and Discoverer.
• General knowledge of relevant technology, tools, file and database management, one or more operating system environments, the movement of data between platforms, understanding data/file types and computer networks.
• Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.
