Full Job Description

The Designer reports to a Senior Associate, Associate or Vice President, the Designer will be responsible for the creation and completion of drawings needed for bid, permit, and final construction documents under direction from manager.

Essential Position Functions

• Performs basic discipline assignments under close supervision.
• Undertakes a variety of assignments.
• Serves as a team member on a small project or a selected segment of a large project.
• Assists team leader in preparing products, reports, graphics, drawings, and/or presentations.
• Provides support to project team in all phases of the facility development and implementation process.
• Conducts project analysis and research under the supervision of the team leader.
• Produces accurate work as part of coordination project team.
• Develops presentation materials and graphics, with supervision, for client meetings, deliverables, and marketing efforts.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

DESIGN:

• Provides support to project team in all phases, from planning and design through the completion of construction administration.
• Applies basic standard architectural techniques.
• Performs basic architectural assignments under close supervision.
• Converts redline drawings and hand sketches to finished Revit models and AutoCAD drawings.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

• One to Three years architectural design experience required.
• Competency in various computer software programs such as Revit, Bluebeam
• Competency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint a plus
• Competency with 3D modeling programs, Rhino, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a plus.
• Produces accurate work as part of coordination project team.
• Understands construction time management and utilizes project management tools.
• Keeps abreast of the latest trends and best practices in the field.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive criminal background checks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
