Design Engineer
Since 1974, Stock Manufacturing & Design has been a family run business with roots on the west side of Cincinnati. We have grown from one facility to four and are still growing with facilities in Cleves, West Chester, Fairfield, and Harrison. We are a growing organization with proven ability to “outsell” our manufacturing / fabrication capacity in the thriving marketplace of package handling.

This Design Engineer will be based at the Cleves location.
JOB SUMMARY: The Designer creates detailed designs, re-designs, and modifications of parts and assemblies and provides support to production to complete the fabrication efficiently and accurately. The designer handles the project cradle to grave – design, approval process, drafting, and ERP management.
Job Duties
- 3-D CAD design and Drafting – translate customer data to provide accurate, functional, manufacturable and on-time designs to reflect our customer’s needs.
- Interpreting blueprints, CAD data to deliver instructions to manufacturing while understanding stress tolerances
- ERP System Management – design, structure, adjust, manage and input data to allow our organization to run all aspects of our business through our ERP software
- Serves as a conduit to all departments and responds to inquiries at all levels of the organization
- Attend/run meetings, collaborate professionally, provide shop/sales support with your ongoing projects, serve as a conduit to all departments and respond to inquiries at all levels of the organization
- Efficiently respond to internal & external customers regarding assignments, work within standard operating procedures, delivering results on time to meet customer needs
- Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills, focused attention to detail, independent time management, effective communication, flexible and adaptable in a team environment
Candidate Requirements
- 1 year of previous experience in 3-D CAD/Auto CAD required, prefer 2-5 years of experience
- Would love previous experience in manufacturing/production/sheet metal industry
- High School diploma and relevant industry experience required, Associate degree/AutoCAD certificate preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/TEAMS, ERP systems, PLM highly preferred
- Experience with CAD, AutoCad, (Solidworks, Solid Edge, Inventor) is required
- Must be an approachable, hands-on team member that will jump in where needed, and lead by example
- Behaving with a growth and development mindset and seek opportunities to for personal growth
- Traveling between divisions may be required
