In the role of Dental Surgery Assistant, you are performing a crucial role as chairside support for the dentist & anesthesia team in taking care of our patient's needs. You help create efficient delivery models and provide the instrumentation and sterilization functions that protect patient's health and provide the best clinical care with the most reliable outcomes. You create a safe environment for every patient, reinforcing the value of the treatment provided and reassuring patients that they are in the right place and receive the best care. You coordinate with the front office team and the treatment coordinator to ensure seamless delivery of the patient experience and accountability for being complete with each visit.

SURGICAL DENTAL ASSISTANT'S MISSION

You are primarily responsible for assisting the doctor in a surgical setting, while delivering excellent clinical care and contribute to the ideal patient experience. That includes:

• Having awareness for each day's objectives and optimizing the practice schedule.
• Supporting the doctor to ensure that their time is leveraged the right way and that appointments stay on schedule.
• Preparing the Operating Room appropriately for each procedure, adhering to the latest safety protocols and requirements.
• Collaborating with other team members to create a comprehensively satisfying clinical experience for the patient.
• Researching and employing the latest trends and technology in dentistry including health and safety protocols and best practices.
• Encouraging patient testimonials and invitations with value.
• Showing appreciation and celebrating milestones.
• Taking individual accountability for my role and responsibilities.

While success will look different for everyone, these are a few key performance indicators (KPIs) for a successful Surgical Dental Assistant:

+ You coordinate with the front desk team to stay aligned and flexible on any schedule modifications throughout the day.

+ You ensure the operating room is turned over and sterilization happens promptly without compromising health and safety.

+ You ensure that proper chairside protocol is followed to handle all instruments, after sterilization and after use.

+ You communicate confidently with the doctor any information to enhance patient care and maximize their experience.

+ You support the Professional Relationship Director in ensuring that our referral relationships are maintained and nurtured at the highest level.

+ You take advantage of continuing education, competency development, and growth opportunities.

Pay: $3,120.00 - $4,160.00 per month
