Dental Hygienist Job at Davis & Wine Dental Associates
Summary:
Davis and Wine Dental Practice is looking for a Dental Hygiene for 4-5 days per week in our Okatie, and our Sheridan Park location. The perfect candidate will be able to complete all preventive care appointments and chart conditions of decay as prescribed by Dentist. Have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
* Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis.
* Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
* Maintain instruments by sharpening and sterilizing.
* Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening.
* Collect medical and dental histories from patients.
* Chart dental conditions in Dentrix Ascend based on dentist’s observations and evaluations.
* Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care.
* Take X-rays with Dentrix Ascend.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required (Bachelor’s preferred) Current state license required
3+ years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist
Excellent verbal communication skills
Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules Current CPR certification required
Infection Control
Use of Dentrix Ascend
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
