Dental Assistant Job at Antioch Dentistry
Dr. Sutherland and her associates are looking for a Dental Assistant to play an important part on our team. We're interested in individuals who can work well independently and as part of a team. Ideally, candidates will be able to effectively communicate with patients and other dental professionals, and be comfortable using computers for tasks such as taking x-rays, treatment planning, and other tasks assigned by the doctor. Though experience is ideal, our team is willing to train anyone looking for a career change.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain current knowledge of dental technology and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of dental terminology and practice.
- Perform a variety of treatments and procedures as directed by the dentist.
- Assist dental hygienist with preparation of materials, equipment, instruments, and rooms used in dental procedures.
- Prepare patient for dental visits.
- Familiarize self with x-ray room procedures and equipment.
- Maintain patient records.
- Perform clerical work such as scheduling appointments, checking insurance coverage and benefits.
- Greet patients in a friendly manner.
- Answer phones in a professional manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
