Delivery Installer / Driver

Responsibilities

• Deliver hand-built mattresses and other items to different addresses and through different routes
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Complete logs and reports
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Skills

• Ability to lift and carry 50+lbs
• Able to safely operate a box truck
• Valid professional driver’s license (no CDL required)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good driving record without major traffic violations
• High school diploma

The Original Mattress Factory produces high quality mattresses and box springs in our own local factory and delivers them directly to our residential customers. Our drivers operate in two man teams and both are required to drive, load, unload, deliver and set up product in our customer's homes. All candidates must possess a clean driving record and be licensed in the state of North or South Carolina. There are no CDL license requirements, however we prefer at least one year of prior experience operating a commercial panel or box truck.

Preferred experience:

· Commercial driving: 1 year

Required education:

· High school or equivalent

All employees are required to wear masks and social distance. While performing deliveries drivers are required to wear gloves, booties, masks, social distance and clean between stops.
