POSITION REPORTS TO: Deli Lead

JOB SUMMARY: Fills customer orders, weigh items, lists and totals prices, stocks cases and performs other duties as required

HOURS: Part-time. Possibility for full-time hours. Hours vary based on business need.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Greet customers and respond to their questions and/or needs

2. Clean work area, backroom and cooler

3. Rotate product to ensure freshness and quality

4. Prepare and maintain display cases to ensure product freshness and proper pricing

5. Cooks in deli up to 2 hours per day

6. Plan and prepare deli lunches

7. Place orders with established suppliers

8. Clean the sales and seating areas

9. Clean and sanitize cooking utensils, pots, pans and other containers

10. Take corrective action for problems with equipment and tools as needed

11. Reorder supplies as needed

12. Confirm that invoices for products and supplies received are in order and are forwarded to the main office

13. Receive products from vendor and verify that quantities delivered and invoiced correspond to quantities ordered

14. Perform a physical inventory monthly and provide a report of the inventory

15. Record intra-store product transfers used in the deli

16. Record ad items and prices

QUALIFICATIONS

1. No employee shall pose a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others

2. Must be able to communicate pleasantly and efficiently with all customers, vendors and fellow employees, under all circumstances

3. Must be age 18 or older

4. Must be able to get along with others

5. Must demonstrate a friendly, outgoing approach to dealing with others

Roth's was founded by Herman C. Jochimsen and Orville N. Roth on August 5th, 1962 when they opened their first store in Silverton, Oregon. Roth's brand of customer service, cleanliness, product quality and community involvement made possible the opening of the first of five Salem-area stores only three years later. Another serving McMinnville was opened in that first decade.

Roth's expansion continued in the 1980's with stores in Independence, and four more in Salem. A relocation and expansion of the McMinnville operation started in 1994, a new location in Stayton in 1996, and the purchase of an existing supermarket in the Hayesville area of Salem in 1998.

Today, Roth's has 9 supermarkets in the Mid-Willamette Valley with a continued focus on customer service.
