This is a Hybrid role based out of our Akron, Ohio Operations center.

  • This role may also be based out of other locations within the Huntington footprint.

Summary:

The Default Services Content Specialist is responsible for the content creation, design, and maintenance of a variety of training programs within Default Servicing. The primary responsibility for this position is to partner with the Program Manager to assess training development needs to create both short-term and long-term training plans, goals to enhance skills, competencies of colleagues cross multiple groups, geographic regions with the primary focus on continuous improvement of the training, and communication programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Program Manager to develop and maintain a comprehensive training strategy.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of a knowledge base for Default Servicing, providing easily accessible self-help tools for colleagues servings as a content author and owner of Default Servicing training material.
  • Along with the team, lead in the design, development and implementation of programs and strategies tailored to support workforce retention and career development. Demonstrate initiative in recommending and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, consistently moving learning to the next level.
  • Actively participate in projects focused on aligning learning and development solutions with business partners with the goal of providing insight, analysis, and recommendations based on colleague related feedback.
  • Conduct assessments and analyses to define performance, skill, and knowledge gaps, and recommend training and development to drive performance development.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to recommend and develop employee engagement programs and activities that enhance employee experience, including new hire onboarding.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking, finance with 1 year of public speaking experience and/or minimum of 3 years of experience in delivery of training programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with users at all levels
  • Strong ability to identify process or control breakdowns and drive towards effective issue resolution
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a high level of detail orientation
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while accepting direction on given assignments
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly, locally and overnight as well throughout the Huntington footprint as needed
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Propensity to demonstrate an advanced level of professionalism
  • The ability to identify and incorporate best practices and lessons learned into program and training plans
  • Huntington systems and data knowledge; examples include MSP, DM10, CACS, and Noble / Alvaria
