Requisition Summary
Six Sigma Black Belts are change agents for process and quality improvement. They are responsible for deploying and embedding quality concepts and continuous improvement tools across our business. They reduce risk, set direction and lead the way to breakthrough improvements in product and process quality.Job Functions/Responsibilities
  • Apply Six Sigma and Structured Problem-Solving Methods to improve process capability and eliminate defects.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Projects, including High Impact Kaizen Events (HIKEs) to improve performance at PACCAR, suppliers, dealers, and customers.
  • Lead Data Analytics Initiatives to measure and strategically improve PACCAR Product Reliability.
  • Support, facilitate, and coordinate Continuous Improvement Training initiatives for both in-person and virtual classes using industry best practices.
  • Develop and lead cross-functional teams to recommend and implement process improvement plans.
  • Challenge conventional wisdom by demonstrating successful application of new methodologies to improve product and process quality.
  • Expected travel up to 20% of the time. Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong quantitative and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Proven project management skills with experience in Information Technology.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross divisionally and functionally without authority.
  • High energy level, goal-oriented self-starter with willingness to learn new ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong systems experience to ensure that divisions are operating at maximum efficiency, from manufacturing to distribution, while meeting quality and security standards for cross-functional platforms
  • Process/product knowledge.
  • Able to manage and resolve conflict
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using statistical software or programming languages (R and/or Python).
  • Proficiency with data visualization software (Tableau).
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL querying.
  • Understanding of principles of relational database design, data modeling, and ETL processes. Education/Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • Six Sigma DFSS/Black Belt Training or PMP Certification required
