Job Type: Daycare Teacher Assistants Full-time or Part-time

Overview:

Kids Kampus Daycare and Preschool, a ministry of Lakeshore Baptist Church, provides daycare for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. The Assistant Teacher will support our program and lead teachers by overseeing the general welfare, health and safety of all the children in the classroom. Our ideal candidate is energetic, passionate about children, a team player, a hard worker, able to help where needed, and provide a positive, loving environment.

Candidate must possess the following:

• A love for children with the ability to relate well with them, their families and other teachers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude and work ethic – team player is a must
• Ability to bend, move, lift, sit on the floor and be energetic and active for the entire day.
• Must pass a background fingerprint screening, submit to a TB skin test and have an additional 16 trainings hours yearly.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

Summary of responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, nurturing, environment for all children
• Supervision of 4-10 children (depending on classroom)
• Follow all required health and safety regulations for early childhood programs
• A positive attitude with a great work ethic and loves to have fun
• Maintenance and housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds
• Attend all required training
• Depending on the age, you may be responsible for changing diapers or potty training
