The Disabilities Board is seeking to hire Day Program support professionals

MONDAY-FRIDAY 8A-4P NO WEEKENDS!!

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND VALID SOUTH CAROLINA DRIVERS LICENSE IS A MUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Supports individuals with disabilities and special needs in adult day services by providing professional, respectful, person-centered supports to assist individuals to achieve goals as designated in their person-centered habilitative plan of supports. HSPs assist individuals to integrate self-determination and self-advocacy skills with training and supports to develop pre-employment and vocational skills, to enhance personal skills, and interact with their community while maximizing the individual’s choices and independence, and maintaining the individual’s health and safety.

The Habilitative Support Professional I is involved on a regular basis with personnel, visitors, contracting businesses and individuals with disabilities who are supported through the Agency. Generally works 40 hours per week, but may be required to work beyond regular work hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.

The Habilitative Support Professional I may be required to work in other positions and program areas as needed; is subject to exposure to communicable diseases.

The Habilitative Support Professional I will work in a variety of work and community settings including indoors, outdoors, varying temperature extremes, varying levels of noise, and may be required to wear a variety of safety equipment such as steel toed shoes, eye protection, gloves, hearing protection and respiratory protection.

The Habilitative Support Professional I may be responsible for the safe operation of agency vehicles performing the transport of individuals with disabilities.
