Our cozy neighborhood AAHA accredited hospital is located just blocks from the north end of Lake Union. You will find yourself in the company of a dedicated team of full-time, highly skilled ER Veterinarians as well as our amazing support staff consisting of veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and CSR's.

We are a full-service hospital complete with our own in house diagnostic lab, digital radiology, state of the art surgical suite, ultrasonography, endoscopy, an in-house pharmacy, separate cat hospitalization ward (to limit stress to our feline patients), an isolation ward and we serve the Seattle area 24-hours per day, 365 days per year.

Essential Job Functions:

• Drug calculations and administration
• Anesthesia; induction, monitoring, pre, and post-operative pain control administration, assisting in surgery
• IV catheter placement
• Phlebotomy, cystogenesis, other laboratory collection methods, and prep.
• Processing in-house lab samples; IDEXX, Urinalysis, Cytology
• Knowledge of basic emergency procedures and ability to set up for incoming cases
• Medical record-keeping and invoicing
• Cash handling, POS, obtaining deposits for financial estimates
• Intaking and Discharging
• Overseeing hospitalized patients and recognizing changes in status and conditions
• Ability to communicate well with a team and report to a DVM on shift
• Following directions both verbally communicated and written
• . Basic understanding of treatment/flow sheets
• All aspects of veterinary nursing care not mentioned above
• Other tasks to be assigned by DVM on shift or management as indicated - Cornerstone knowledge a plus
• Smartflow knowledge is a plus

Valid WA State Veterinary Technician License
