Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Assistant Provost for Undergraduate Education, the Data Specialist will provide data support for research and strategic decision-making by developing and improving data-driven analyses and analytic reporting. The incumbent will work with a variety of data types: student, faculty/staff, finance, and financial aid to support operational functions and planning across the Office of Undergraduate Education.
The successful candidate will need a strong consultative skill set and be able to develop professional relationships with other campus units in order to understand processes and needs and use this knowledge to identify opportunities for collaboration and project development.

Required Qualifications
- General knowledge of data collection, maintenance, analysis, and reporting. • Proficient in basic data cleaning, collection, maintenance, and report development.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and decision support in a higher education setting, with specific knowledge of student-related data, reporting processes, and data management. Including familiarity with federal, state, and rankings reporting. • Experience with Excel, Tableau, and Microsoft Bi, including administrative tasks.
