Tetra Tech’s Disaster Response Division is currently accepting applications for a Data Manager - Compliance. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the compliance review for disaster recovery operations including: client contracts, federal guidance, process development and improvement, technology performance, data quality control, field operations, and training. As such, candidates should also demonstrate their background with technology solutions as well as previous experience applying these technologies to the FEMA Public Assistance Program.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise, guide and support team staff, both local and field staff members
- Monitors, reviews, and edits policies and procedural processes to ensure compliance regulations meet specific contract and programmatic requirements
- Quality assurance and quality control of project data & project deliverables
- Provides compliance updates and information to the management team by researching and analyzing data and prepare a variety of regulatory reports
- Serves as management’s liaison on quality topics and conducts quality related presentations, education and trainings as requested
- Measures and evaluates quantitatively and qualitatively, program effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvement
- Perform final reviews on project deliverables to ensure compliance with Tetra Tech and FEMA Public Assistance program standards are met
- Perform routine audits of project processes and deliverables to ensure compliance with Tetra Tech standards
- Effectively and efficiently manage large data sets
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and procedures
Ideal candidates will have:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or other related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a team lead, supervisory, or managerial role
- Prior experience working with FEMA or other Federal relief programs a plus
- In-depth understanding of modern database and information technologies
- Ability to utilize Microsoft PowerBI or similar business analysis software
- Prior experience working and adapting to specialized software or applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work towards meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must have solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to travel to project job sites for extended periods as needed
