Your New Opportunity*
The Data Analyst’s responsibility is to collect, validate, analyze, report and load critical data into Comtech systems to support critical 911 call routing, new customer onboarding and service maintenance activities. You will be a key contributor to our team and will adhere to data management processes, standards and best practices that support the dynamic data needs and requirements for our customers and business.
PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Collect, analyze and verify critical data required for 911 services, deployments and products. You will use various software applications and Comtech built tools, interfaces and systems to manage mission critical 911 data.
• This role will work with external entities & customers and will communicate data requirements, standards and best practices to end users.
• If data fails validation you will need to work with external users and explain the reasoning for the data discrepancies and assist with outlining a resolution plan of action.
• As part of Comtech’s Product release cycle you may be asked to validate documentation (user guides) and provide training to our external users on how to use and access features & products related to data management activities
• User Acceptance Testing may need to be performed on new/updated product releases that support data management activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting of inbound Incidents that are escalated to the team from the Comtech NOC. This may include initial triage, problem analysis and identifying options, solutions and the root cause.
• Conduct data reviews and data quality checks of customer-facing reports to ensure data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment along with the ability to meet deadlines and due dates.
• Support data related maintenance windows and activities.
• Must be organized and a self-starter.
• Support other projects, customers and deliverables as needed.
• Will be part of 24x7 On-Call rotation

AS A DATA ANALYST,* YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:

Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge required.

• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective listening skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Logic-driven thought process.
• PC literate with functional knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
• Understanding of basic to intermediate database concepts, theories and best practices
• Ability to create reports/queries/visualizations using MS Access, Oracle, Excel, SQL, Splunk etc.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: *

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related field.
• 2+ year(s) prior data related experience required.
• 2+ years prior customer engagement experience preferred.
• 1+ year of experience working within the 911 field is preferred.

ADDITIONAL VALUED CAPABILITIES INCLUDE: *

• Experience reporting/presenting data findings etc.
• Understanding of GIS, MSAG datasets and concepts is a plus
• Experience using ITSM, Remedy, JIRA, MS Project, Clickup etc
• Experience training data management concepts and best practices
• Experience with scripting and automation is a plus i.e. Python
