What will I be doing?

  • Develop and maintain Air, Land and Water quality models supporting the regions environmental resources planning programs
  • Incorporate GIS and remote sensing data analysis into large-scale environmental (air, land and water) projects using advanced programming and geospatial technologies
  • Working on air quality emission inventories, conformity, air quality data analysis
  • Provide technical and analytical support, write technical documents, and serve as a point of contact for internal and external requests for data

Key Qualifications

  • Familiarity with air, land and water related data development, maintenance, and analysis
  • Familiarity with watersheds, water resources planning, water quality management issues, regulations, and programs
  • Familiarity with air pollution, air quality control, greenhouse gases and criteria pollutants
  • Proficiency in GIS theory, applications, cartographic design, and ArcGIS software packages
  • Background on working with satellite and airborne (LiDAR, Aerial Imageries) remote sensing data and analytical techniques
  • Background on working databases MySQL, MS Access, and MariaDB
  • Knowledge of scripting and statistical data analysis packages such as Python, SAS, and/or R
  • Sharp critical thinking skills, ability to analyze spatial data, and strong written and verbal communication skills

Do you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
  • 3 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties

Pay: $48,278.00 - $96,720.00 per year
