As our Data Analyst, you will help the MISO's System Planning team manage and analyze System Planning data and help uncover actionable insight so they can continuously improve processes amidst daily responsibilities. You will be responsible for maintaining the data quality, data visualization and forecasting and highlighting how trending variables may impact our processes moving forward.

As the Data Analyst, you will be part of the team that works cross functionally to support data and insight needs of the business and promotes analytics maturity at MISO. On any given day you will be part of data storytelling for executive management, supporting root cause analysis with functional teams across System Planning, and helping to develop tool and improve processes.

In one year as our Data Analyst, you will know you were successful if:

• You are familiar with the various functions of MISO, System Planning data sources, and outcome metrics.
• You have contributed to process improvements related to our managing the Generation Interconnection Queue and Resource Retirement.
• You actively pursue opportunities to further develop your data analysis skills.

We are looking for hardworking professionals who have:

• At least a bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Statistic)
• At least four (0-5) years of related work experience
• Proven development of dashboards e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI
• Experience with large datasets and scripting using SQL, Python,
• Experience with Dynamics/CRM
• Experience with Statistics

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
