Location: This is an office-based telecommuting position. This position is designed to be eligible for up to full time telecommuting, but personnel must live within approximately one hour commuting distance to Charlottesville, VA. Your base work location will be BCG’s office located at 943 Glenwood Station Lane, Suite 102, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

Data Analyst

Spend your days

● Validating annual data reports submitted by public transit operators.
● Providing technical assistance to industry stakeholders submitting annual and/or monthly data reports.
● Supporting training for industry stakeholders learning about data reporting systems (may require travel up to 3 times annually)
● Providing support for other special projects including policy documentation, webinars, performance reporting, archived data review, and data product quality checking.
● Testing software for interface improvements.

Bring with you

● Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from an accredited school.
● Strong written and oral communication skills.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and accurately disseminate information.
● A customer service mindset.
● Interest in public transportation industry.
● Presentation and report-writing skills.
● Microsoft Office fluency.
● Professional experience working in data analysis/wrangling/validation, finance/economics, or public transportation industry desired, but not required.
● Experience working with Jira software desired, but not required.
● Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Data Analyst Position

● Proof of COVID-19 full vaccination status.
● Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance.
