The LFS Group is looking for a Cytology Technologist who will be responsible for preparing, processing and screening cytology specimen samples.
This position is located at Northside Hospital. Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing. Schedule:
- 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Monday through Friday
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, processing and screening cytology specimen samples.
- Assisting with the collection of needle aspiration samples
- Preparing slides by staining samples
- Using microscopes to examine cellular samples
- Evaluating samples while following laboratory protocols
- Calibrating, troubleshooting, checking and maintaining microscopes and other laboratory equipment
- Entering diagnostic information into computer systems
Qualifications:
- Must be a registered Cytotechnologist CT (ASCP) or SCT (ASCP) 2.
- (1) year laboratory experience
- Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good written and oral communication skills.
- Computer keyboard and information system experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
