Duties and Responsibilities:

The Cut-Off Operator is responsible for cutting material for sales orders / work orders. Performs general labor and distributes material to the appropriate location. This position will train on first shift but can remain on first or transition to off shift.

Essential Functions:

• Set up saw to desired cutting length and pull require stock for work order.
• Cut material according to work order specifications maintaining proper quality standards.
• Distribute cut material to appropriate production location.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: Hight School Diploma or GED.

Experience: Entry level – willing to train

Specific Skills: Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions and interact with multiple personality types.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Mechanically inclined with strong math skills. Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers.

Working Conditions/ Physical Demands:

Physical conditions are consistent with a typical production environment. Daily lifting of up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Exposure to grinding fluids and oils.

Interfaces:

Internal: Daily verbal communication with employees regarding work schedules and jobs. Written and verbal communication with management as needed.

External: External communication/interaction is not applicable.
