Job Description:
GENERAL PURPOSE
With a high sense of urgency and able to respond rapidly this role supports Customer Service Teams in assisting with customer parts orders, research, and review of drawings. Coordinates with engineering to find a creative solution for obsolete or soon-to-be obsolete parts and to create/share technical bulletins. Works with engineering to create drawings, ECN’s, and bills of material for parts solutions. Engage directly with customers to understand challenges and direct to appropriate solution provider. Create selling prices and actively monitor and adjust to maintain margin targets of the parts business.
Actively engages in our Lean journey by building and acting on continuous improvement and acting as an engaged owner in furthering our mission to make it easy, deepen relationships, and maximize long term value for our team members, customers, and shareholders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works w/BOM and drawings to aid customers/customer service sales in finding correct parts.
- Help with TCO research/reporting.
- Works with Manufacturing Engineering to understand cost of new parts
- Research legacy equipment acquired equipment
- Evaluate customer needs and recommend solutions.
- Assists in identifying spare parts needed for machines.
- Maintain files, records, and logs pertinent to function.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leader.
- Keep leader informed of status of assigned duties.
- Occasional travel to customer sites or other BWFS locations as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors, technical degree, or 5+ years technical service in packaging industry.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as the workload requires.
- This role may require availability for holiday and after hour support shifts.
- Creative and innovative in finding solutions for obsolescence.
- Must possess a high sense of urgency and be able to respond rapidly to situations as they arise.
